In conjunction with Motoworld Bali we take you on an awe inspiring tropical ride throughout the "Island of the Gods"  on some of the world's most passionate sports bikes. We get to travel on open highways, coastal twisty roads, mountain pistes all the while absorbing the beautiful land and the people that make Bali a destination that cannot be seen in only one journey.

Our day departs from Denpasar at MotoWorld Bali where you'll have ample time to check out the exotic bikes available to buy. A short rider briefing will provide a hint of our action packed day, enough to whet the appetite to get on and go!

We soon escape Denpasar and open onto Bali's best highway to sneak views of unspoiled beaches and world renowned rice fields on our way to Klunkung then inland to the region of Sidema. Here the road narrows and trees provide a speckled canopy in between local villages. We spend some taking in the village atmosphere of Sibetan and try the local sweet produce this place is renowned for. The road gets more technical and even less traffic; a perfect section to get the heart rate up. After our next town; Karangasem we pass the Royal palace of Tirta Gangga , a one hectare complex of lush gardens with many pools, waterfalls and statues. Opulently constructed in 1948 by the Raja of Karangasem but mostly destroyed in the 1963 eruption of Mt Agung. The local community have since reconstructed the site to its formal regal beauty and well worth adding this as a separate trip in itself.

Our lunch break is at Kubu Resort Tulamben, a northern beach region which is a favourite of ours. Another chance to learn a little more about Bali and the world renowned dive site of the ill-fated USAT Liberty, torpedoed by the Japanese in 1942 which met its final demise from Mt Agung's fury in 1963.

With energy levels fuelled, we take on the mountain road up to an amazing vista at Kintamani for a must stop break to take in the sights of Mt Batur, black lava (our dirt bike haven and offered on other package tours), lake Batur and if still hungry, try a pisang goreng with some tea or coffee.

It's all downhill from here (literally, not figuratively!) as we ride some gentler slopes until we end up in Ubud. Depending on how our schedule runs, we may call in to see the Ubud Royal Palace after most of the tour buses have left and before the evening dance performances, for a less frenetic discovery of some early 1800's Balinese architecture and custom. Our journey ends 3km further south at Moto Explore's office where we can have a final discussion and bid adieu to new friends before our transfers return you to your point of pick-up. For those wanting to stay on to see the evening dance performances, we can delay transfers to suit your preference and if you had left anything back at Motoworld, they can also take you there on the way home.

More sights, more scenery, more open roads with no speed limit. What a way to holiday on a sport bike through tropical paradise. We follow a similar route for the morning but after Kintamani it's a mix of beauty, open roads, high quality meals and accommodation, the perfect supplement to riding these powerful sports bikes on a 2 day escape in paradise.

Day 1.
Like our one day sports bike tour, we convene at about 8am at Motoworld Bali on the northern outskirts of Denpasar for an ogle at the collection of bikes on display, a chance to gear-up and the obligatory tour briefing. Likewise we escape the morning traffic to the east coast highway to Klunkung, then to Sibetan and Karangasem to the Palace Temple for a chance to take in a Bali king's vision of perfection. Our lunch break is at Kubu resort Tulamben where we can look over the ocean whilst we feast on fine dining, all included in the tour cost. We take a different road to Kintamani this time, a little tighter but less travelled so for us, it's likely more fun before we exit at the top of the caldera at Kintamani for an afternoon feed, coffee or tea overlooking the mountains and inland lake. To get to our overnight stay at Lovina beach we sqeeze in the length of all our morning rides into an epic afternoon adrenaline ride north west to our beachfront resort. A chance to settle in, freshen up before our dinner just a short walk from our hotel, picked for its excellent menu. A stumble back to the hotel and a well earned rest.

Day 2.
For those keen for a sunrise boat trip amongst the dolphins in their natural playground it's a 4.30am wake-up call to catch a traditional outrigger fishing boat to see the dolphin pod with their young jaunt and play around the boats (NB: This is an additional charge). For those still recovering from the previous day, a more relaxed wake-up at about 7am prior to our 8.30 departure. With the sun rising over our shoulders we take yet another main road past villages and to the west of Bali for little trafficked open and well maintained coastal road for a rare opportunity to get that real wind in the hair experience before we reach the Taman Nasional Bali Barat (National Park). Here we rest and have a coffee and refreshments from a local warung and a brief on the history of this 190 square kilometre, a mixture of mountains, low hills, monsoonal mangrove and beach protection areas yielding an abundant range of birds, mammals and aquatic life. Hiring the services of a ranger for a full tour of this protected region is a must for anyone wanting to explore this area in more detail on a separate journey to this ride. With the option to continue to skirt the island to the south side to be caught with the sometimes intrusive highway haulage route or retrace our north coast ride to end up in the middle mountains of Pupuan, Selamdeg for our lunchbreak in an open restaurant with selfie inducing views. A further 45km of increasingly winding roads takes us up to Munduk, Gobleg Singaraja for more spectacular views whilst having a coffee, tea and more samples of local snacks. By this time, it should be about 3.30pm and we need to look at making tracks back to Ubud. On this last leg, we pass lake Bedugul and Beratan lakes (more jaw dropping scenery with the tiered temple on the shoreline)and make our way down the mountainside to Ubud, and Peliatan, home office for Moto Explore Indonesia. Here you leave the riding gear and freshen up before saying goodbye to new friends and maybe buy a momento of the trip in the shop. Transfer vehicles wil arrive at about 6pm to return you to your pick up point. For those still wanting more, it may be possible to take one more transit journey on two wheels back to Ducati and we will arrange alternate transport.
