Last year’s Indonesian Moto Adventure Safari (IMAS) was a change in Katoz Indonesia’s operating model for their event and they ran it with huge success by having none other than Adam Reimann, the guy from Motology films there as an international guest. With a coaching clinic on the first day and following 2 days putting all the newly acquired skills into practice travelling around the back roads and mountains around Garut in Western Java. If you check out (insert Adams you tube link) you’ll get a taste of what it was like.
Now In its fourth incarnation, this successful model is again being used, this time a chance to explore all that is on offer around Ciwedey, a mountainous region approximately 5 hours south east of Jakarta and not far from Katoz’s KTM showroom in Bandung.
This time around the guest is Simon Pavey, A Brit that for many need no announcing. A previous Dakar rider, itself a huge claim to fame but for many, better known for his part in the much revered adventure motorcycle travel series with Charlie Boorman on Long Way Down. Simon operates Off Road Skills, one of the first and arguably best motorcycle training facilities in the world, located in Southern Wales England. With this coup, the opportunity to be trained by Simon in what will be a prestigious group of 50 or so other lucky participants, an opportunity not to be missed. Anyone interested in attending, the bookings are filling fast as there’s less than a month to get there.
